Jacqueline Wood

Jacqueline Wood received a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Florida Atlantic University in Special Education. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Special Education at SUNY Geneseo and her Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language (ESOL) at Nazareth College. In her 10 years as an educator, Jacqueline taught students with varying exceptionalities from kindergarten through age 22 in New York and Florida. She taught in a variety of settings including inclusive general education classrooms, self-contained special education classroom, and small group pull-out settings. She also served as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for 3 years. Currently, Jacqueline is a Clinical Manager at FAU CARD supporting adolescents and adults with autism. She also leads many safety initiatives within FAU CARD and is the Curriculum Designer for a large grant project through the FDDC to create and pilot a training to support law enforcement and public safety officials to effectively and safely recognize and interact with individuals with autism. Jacqueline is passionate about collaborating with adults with autism, as well as their family members and professionals who support them to maximize their quality of life. Jacqueline’s research focuses on social and community inclusion for adults with autism and developmental disabilities

Ms. Wood is a  Clinical Manager at FAU CARD supporting adolescents and adults with autism.
