B1-F: “Yes, and…” – An Introduction to Improvisational theatre

Improvisational theatre, commonly called improv is a form of theatre or comedy in which everything is unplanned or unscripted. Successful improv requires participants to work together to create a scene and the activity and dialog that occurs in that scene. In addition to its use in drama classes, it is also used to develop communication skills, practice team-work, and encourage problem solving. This will be an interactive session.

Learning Outcomes:

1. Participants will learn the basics of improvisational theatre, including the rules of improv
2. Participants will understand how improv can be beneficial for learning and practicing social skills
3. Participants will have the opportunity to participate in several improv activities and games
