Sheri Waddill

Sheri Waddill, MA, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida. Ms. Waddill’s pronouns are she/her/hers. She earned her Master of Arts degree at the University of Central Florida in 2012, and also holds a Marriage and Family Therapist Certificate from the same. Ms. Waddill has been practicing in the State of Florida for 12 years. Prior to entering the University of Central Florida Counseling and Psychological Services as Clinical Staff for five years, Ms. Waddill worked as a licensed mental health counselor at Beacon Liberal Arts College, serving the needs of students with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder and other neurodiverse conditions. Throughout her career she has developed competencies in trauma, substance use disorders, and, severe and persistent mental health disorders to include psychosis. Ms. Waddill completed an internship at The Healing Tree Child Advocacy Center for physical and sexual abuse trauma. Part of her internship included a supervisory role in residential substance abuse treatment centers. Ms. Waddill’s theoretical orientations are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which is a goal-oriented approach that focuses on how thinking influences feelings and behavior, and Relational Therapy; she incorporates a strengths-based approach and introduces Schema and Attachment Therapy as tools for client development. Ms. Waddill’s clinical interests include neurodiverse college students and beyond, and managing the adult after affects of childhood trauma. Fun facts: Sheri likes reading and researching the brain, autism and geology. She likes going hiking and biking as much as possible and creates watercolors to relax.
