Marlena is a higher educational administrator with a background in special education and applied behavior analysis. She brings her knowledge and experience as a TBRI Practitioner and Master IEP Coach®️ to her work with individuals with developmental and behavioral diagnoses. Marlena holds degrees in K-12 special education (B.A.), developmental disabilities (M.S.), and educational leadership (Ed.D.). Professionally, Marlena serves the University of North Florida as the Director of USoar, a Florida Postsecondary Transition Program. Her areas of research and professional interest lie in supporting students and families during critical stages of development and coaching and equipping educators to work with students experiencing developmental trauma and low incidence exceptionalities through the implementation of universal design for learning and trauma informed educational practice.
