Nycole Kauk

Dr. Nycole Kauk is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) at the University of South Florida. She has experience serving individuals with autism, other pervasive developmental disabilities, mood disorders, behavioral and academic challenges. She has served individuals with disabilities, their families and school teams since 2008. Dr. Kauk provides psychological evaluations, school-based consultations, academic interventions, and behavioral services at the Interdisciplinary Center for Evaluation and Intervention. In addition to her work at the clinic, she serves as an instructor for graduate students enrolled in the Positive Behavior Support (PBS) Graduate Certificate program. While teaching and providing school-based service, she serves as an Independent Evaluator on a tri-state project aimed at designing a modular framework for school teams in addressing concerns of individual students with autism (Modular Approach for Autism Programing in Schools). Her research interests include school-based interventions for individuals on the autism spectrum, tools for progress monitoring and behavior assessment, as well as family-system interventions for children with challenging behaviors. In addition to school-based work, she has extensive experience providing and studying use of family-systems interventions to modify and address challenging behaviors within the home setting. Dr. Kauk is trained and certified in several manualized parent training interventions (Triple P, Tools for Positive Behavior Change, HOT DOCS) and has engaged studies evaluating contextual fit and social validity of manualized treatment packages.
