B2-H: Increasing Independence in Adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder through a Transdisciplinary Team Approach
Many adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) experience a variety of unique challenges with adaptive development, communication, personal, and domestic skills that can make independent living and employment success difficult (Davis, H., 2021; Roux, A.M. et al. 2018). Els for Autism Foundation® offers a variety of adult services focused on supporting these areas (Els for Autism Foundation, 2022). This presentation will outline the benefits of using a transdisciplinary team approach incorporating evidence-based practices when supporting independent living and vocational experiences for adults with ASD.
