B1-A: AngelSense: Skill Building with Maintenance, Generalization, and Transfer of Care Using Assistive Technology

The field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is deeply rooted in principles and ethics, guiding our mission as Board Certified Behavior Analysts to instill socially significant skills in the individuals we serve. Our approach emphasizes positive learning through reinforcement and ensuring safety. However, limited resources often challenge our ability to adequately train parents, maintain a positive risk/benefit ratio, and successfully transfer care from our practice to the parent.
The AngelSense Skill Building Program aims to address and remediate these limitations by offering comprehensive parent training and real-life program implementation using assistive technology. This presentation will highlight how AngelSense supports ethical responsibilities, minimizes risks in behavior interventions, and facilitates the transfer of care.

Learning Outcomes:
1. Identify how to fulfill our responsibility to clients (3.01 Code of Ethics) through the use of assistive technology.
2. Identify how to minimize risks of behavior interventions (2.15 Code of Ethics) through the use of assistive technology.
