B1-F: Developmental Indicators and Diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder in Children 0-3 Across Cultures

The diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder in children under the age of three has been highly debated in recent years. This session will discuss the statistics of diagnostic age compared to initial symptoms presentation across cultures. We will also go in depth regarding early developmental indicators of autism spectrum disorder and developmental red flags for families to be aware of starting at six months of age. Appropriate assessments for ASD diagnosis in children 0-3 will briefly be discussed.
