Sibling relationships are critical and are often the longest relationships for individuals on the autism spectrum. Having a safe space for siblings to learn about autism, ask questions, celebrate achievements no matter the size, talk about concerns, and meet others who also have a sibling on the spectrum can create connections and improve relationships between siblings. The presenter will review how she started a program called Sib Experts to support siblings of individuals on the spectrum. Information on common issues siblings experience and helpful strategies for caregivers will be provided. Previous participants will share their experiences in the program. During the last half of the presentation, the Sib Experts will hold a Q and A to answer audience member’s questions.
