B4-G: College Opportunities for Students with Intellectual Disabilities through Florida Postsecondary Comprehensive Transition Programs

In this presentation the Florida Center for Students with Unique Abilities (FCSUA) will report on credentials earned and employment of students exiting Florida Postsecondary Comprehensive Transition Program (FPCTPs). The Florida Postsecondary Comprehensive Transition Program Act, Florida legislation passed in 2016, established inclusive postsecondary education programs for students with intellectual disabilities at institutions of higher education. We will share data on students exiting FPCTPs, credentials earned and employment outcomes of students with intellectual disabilities.

  1. Participants will gain knowledge about the Florida Postsecondary Comprehensive Transition Program (FPCTP) Act; the Florida Center for Students with Unique Abilities charge to carry out the Act; and credentials earned and employment outcomes.
