FB3-E: Empowering Potential

Teaching in any environment can be challenging and rewarding, especially when addressing the diverse needs of students.  This presentation will highlight strategies, tools, supports, and insights used in an inclusive classroom.  The presenter will share positive experiences for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as various practices have been explored and put into practice over the years at The Magnolia School.  Participants will become aware that flexibility, varying supports, persistence, and building connections with each individual student are essential elements within the classroom.

  1. Participants will understand the vital role of collaboration with parents and school staff.
  2. Participants will recognize the importance and effectiveness of visuals.
