B2-C: Obesity in Youth with ASD: Risks, Challenges and Strategies to Promote Health

The Department of Health Sciences at the University of Central Florida in Orlando will give a presentation on 1) the current prevalence and health risks associated with obesity in youth with ASD, 2) the key health behaviors associated with obesity, and 3) strategies that can be used to help improve overall health and well-being in youth with ASD.

Learning Outcomes:

1. Audience will be able to describe the current health risks associated with obesity in youth with ASD

2. Audience will be able to identify key obesity-related behaviors in youth with ASD

3. Audience will be able to propose at least three key strategies to improve the health and well-being of youth with ASD
