FB2-F: The Power of Emotional Intelligence: How it related to the success of students and School Readiness

This Workshop will be focused on how emotional intelligence is the true key to successful student education and is the foundation on which education is built upon.  It will be reinforced that before any real learning can occur children must be given emotional strategies to allow them the abilities to navigate through their emotions which will give them the confidence and knowledge to create a well-being around themselves that will be the bedrock for all future educational success.  Due to the importance of emotional intelligence teachers can make this a priority in the classroom which will give their students the tools to handle the thousands of noneducational hardships that occur throughout the school day which plays a huge roll in a student’s inability to thrive in the educational system.  When parents and teachers come together to make emotional intelligence the first step to a child’s educational process only then will a child have what they need to become an accomplished scholar.

The power of emotional intelligence and how it relates to the success of students and School Readiness is one of the most relevant and necessary topics in the genre of learning recovery. Many of the major issues that students face after the pandemic are because they have not been given the tools to handle difficulties that come with everyday life including the ups and downs of post pandemic school life.
