Carissa Madden

Carissa Madden graduated with my master’s degree in Special Education from the University of Florida in August 2019. As a social justice advocate, one of her career goals is to make this world a better place. Now as the Neurodiversity Partnerships/Community Manager at SOHO Square Solutions, a management consulting firm, she recruits and supports neurodiverse candidates who want to work in tech, compliance, and risk management. As an individual with autism, Madden knows what it was like to struggle to find a good-fit career job. Carissa will continue to guide people from diverse backgrounds not only in employment services but in the higher education field as well.

Madden began volunteering in September 2020 with the Resource Key, an organization that provides inclusion and accessibility resources to the community, as the Higher Education and Career Development Community Expert. This disability advocate educates the community about the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), provides disability awareness resources in higher education, and presentations on career readiness. All of these actions demonstrate my commitment to DEI. Madden hopes that one day, we all live in a world that no one experience any barriers.
