Gwenivere Mauro is an Education & Training Specialist with UF Health Jacksonville, Division of Neurodevelopmental Pediatrics, UF JAX CARD and UF JAX FDLRS-MDC programs. She graduated from Flagler College with a dual bachelors in elementary and exceptional student education in 2014. She went on to get a Master’s Degree in Special Education with a focus in autism from the University of North Florida in 2018. She holds a Florida Teaching Certificate in Primary Education and Exceptional Student Education with endorsements in reading, ESOL, and autism. She has taught in early childhood classrooms for children on the autism spectrum and other developmental delays along with high school students who had autism, intellectual disabilities, and were medically fragile. In her current position as an Education & Training Specialist she provides supports to individuals on the spectrum along with families who have a loved one with autism. She collaborates closely with the community to provide trainings, consultations, and awareness events. In addition, she specifically words with adults on the spectrum in her community. Through her adult support group, she offers social skill training with an opportunity to apply those skills during the other adult support group she assist with.
