Joanna Couch is an Autism Disorders Specialist at the University of Central Florida’s Center for Autism and Related Disabilities where she provides individualized consultative services, technical assistance, and professional development to schools, families, and community providers. She received her undergraduate degree in Special Education: Varying Exceptionalities and her masters in Educational Leadership from the University of South Florida. Joanna currently holds a Florida Professional Teaching Certification for Elementary Education K-6, Middle Grades 5-9, Exceptional Student Education K-12, and Educational Leadership, as well as endorsements in Autism Spectrum Disorders and English for Speakers of Other Languages. She has served as an ESE teacher in various schools and settings and as an assistant principal at a public elementary school. Joanna has developed several district and school-based professional development trainings and parent educational seminars to help improve capacity when working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder.
