Liam McGivern is a Senior Staff Attorney with Disability Rights Florida. Liam joined DRF in 2022, after working as a poverty lawyer and as a civil rights investigator. As a poverty lawyer, Liam successfully represented clients in a wide range of legal areas including public benefits, military discharge advocacy, veterans law, landlord/tenant law, education law, and family law. His work has garnered local and national media attention, and resulted in meaningful reforms to state and federal food stamp policy, as well as local transportation policy. He has presented at local, state, regional, and national conferences on a variety of legal topics including military discharge advocacy, food stamps, and fair housing. During non-work time, Liam enjoys bird watching and nature, baking, and spending time with his lovely wife, son, and gorgeous frenchie.
