Meg Lietzau

Dr. Lietzau currently works as an autism education and training specialist at the Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD) at the University of Florida College of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry. She is an adjunct professor at Florida Gateway College, and a peer reviewer for the United States Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs. Dr. Lietzau has served as an expert witness, field consultant, and disabilities specialist for private and government entities. Dr. Lietzau holds a Ph.D. in criminal justice studies, master’s degrees in philosophy and psychology, and bachelor’s degrees in print communications and English literature. Her background is primarily in exceptional student education, supporting individuals with disabilities in rural communities, and criminology and justice studies. Her academic interests include the victimization of vulnerable populations and meaningful access to the justice system for individuals with autism spectrum disorder.
