Melissa Hale

Melissa Hale, Ph.D., BCBA-D is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Miami and serves as an Associate Director of UM-NSU CARD. She is a Florida licensed psychologist and a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst ‌‌(BCBA-D). Dr. Hale received her Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of Florida in 2002, with a particular focus on autism spectrum disorders and applied behavior analysis. In her current role, she teaches graduate level coursework in applied behavior analysis, provides supervision and training of graduate students in the diagnosis and treatment of ASD, and supports the mission of UM-NSU CARD in the delivery of family support and technical assistance. Dr. Hale is also involved in ASD-related research and she has presented at numerous local and national conferences on topics related to autism spectrum disorders.
