Michaela Michener

Michaela Michener is a dedicated scholar and future practitioner in the field of School Psychology, currently pursuing her Doctorate Degree (Psy.D.) at Nova Southeastern University, Davie, Florida. With a Master of Science Degree in School Psychology (M.S.) and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Florida State University, Michaela has established a strong academic foundation complemented by diverse professional experiences.

Her commitment to fostering academic excellence and supporting student development is evidenced by her roles as a Substitute Teacher at Broward County Public Schools and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Nova Southeastern University. Through these positions, she has demonstrated her proficiency in instructional support, classroom management, and individualized student assistance.

Michaela Michener’s clinical expertise extends to her experiences as an ESE Preschool Teacher’s Aid and a Registered Behavioral Technician, where she provided specialized care and support to children with diverse needs, particularly in the areas of autism spectrum disorder and early childhood development.

Her academic journey is further enriched by her involvement in various university organizations, including the Graduate Association of School Psychologists (GrASP), where she currently serves as the Chair Elect and Mentorship Chair. In these leadership roles, she has demonstrated her commitment to mentorship, professional development, and community engagement within the field of School Psychology.

Her research interests encompass a broad spectrum of topics, including autism spectrum disorder, applied behavior analysis, early childhood development, and cognitive assessments. She has presented at prominent conferences such as the National Association of School Psychologists Annual Conference and the Florida Association of School Psychologists Annual Conference.

As a dedicated member of professional associations such as the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) and the Florida Association of School Psychologists (FASP), Michaela Michener remains committed to advancing the field of School Psychology through research, advocacy, and collaborative initiatives.
