James Williams

James Williams is an adult with autism. He was diagnosed at the age of 3, in 1991. He is the author of two books, OUT TO GET JACK, THE H.A.L. EXPERIMENT, and is the co-author of the book WEST HIGH STORY with fellow autistic self-advocate Alex Phillip. He is a member of the Booster Club, the Choir and Theatre Patrons Organization, and the Grad Night Committee at Glenbrook North High School in Northbrook, Illinois, his alma mater. He is also a staff member for Animecon.org, an organization that organizes and runs anime conventions throughout the Midwestern United States, wherein he hosts panels on autism and disability awareness. In addition, during his travels as an autistic self-advocate, he has also visited various social and support groups for autistic individuals nationwide.
