Darby Battle Drageset

Darby Battle Drageset is a third-year doctoral candidate at the University of Florida’s College of Education, School of Teaching and Learning. Darby is pursuing a Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction with a concentration in science education. She received both a Master of Education in science education and a Bachelor of Arts in biology from the University of Florida. Darby previously worked as a high school biology teacher in North Central Florida where she enjoyed working with a variety of students as they learned more about life science. Darby’s current research focuses on creating more inclusive non-formal science learning spaces, such as museums, in a way that addresses the multi-dimensionality of inclusivity through opportunities to physically access spaces, cognitively engage with material and content, and interact socially with others.
