Cheryl Checkers

Cheryl Checkers, M.S., LMHC-QS, NCC is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, National Board-Certified Counselor, and Qualified Supervisor in the State of Florida. She owns a private practice specializing in therapy for autistic adolescents and adults with co-occurring mental health conditions and their families. 
 
In addition to her clinical work, Cheryl serves as a consultant for the Florida Atlantic University Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (FAU CARD). She earned her Master of Science in Psychology and Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University and holds advanced certifications in autism, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. 
 
Cheryl has over 20 years of experience supporting autistic individuals and their families and is a respected speaker at both local and regional levels. Her presentations focus on autism and co-occurring mental health conditions with particular emphasis on the female autism phenotype and transition to adulthood. 
 
Cheryl is immediate past president of NAMI Palm Beach County and a former FAU CARD board member. She has served on numerous advisory councils, helping guide autism and mental health efforts across the state.
