B2A: From Fragmented to Fluid: Designing Holistic Plans That Support Behavioral and Emotional Wellness along with Academic Growth and Societal Engagement

AbstractFrom Fragmented to Fluid presents an integrated approach to supporting children and youth with autism and emotional/behavioral challenges. Grounded in current research, it explores how combining ABA, Sensory Integration, and Socio-Relational(tm) and other evidence-based methods fosters emotional wellness, academic success, and societal engagement. The session offers practical tools tailored to various functional levels, emphasizing collaboration between educators, clinicians, and families. Real-world examples and implementation strategies are shared, along with resources which support families and businesses seeking inclusive solutions. Participants will gain actionable insights to create holistic, individualized plans that promote long-term growth and meaningful inclusion.  
Objectives1. Describe how to integrate evidence-based methodologies such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Sensory Integration, and Socio-Relational(tm) strategies into unified academic and clinical plans.
2. Differentiate intervention approaches based on the functional and developmental levels of children and adolescents with autism and behavioral/emotional challenges.
3. Demonstrate strategies for interdisciplinary collaboration among professionals and caregivers to promote consistency across educational, clinical, and home environments.
4. Apply practical techniques to support social skills and emotional wellness in both younger students and adolescents using developmentally appropriate tools.
5. Identify pathways for societal engagement, including community integration and employment opportunities for high-functioning individuals on the autism spectrum.
6. Access and utilize resources for professional development, family training, and inclusive business consultation.
