Parenting a child with a disability is one of the most rewarding — and isolating — journeys a person can walk. This 75-minute experiential roundtable creates a brave, judgment-free space where parents of children with disabilities of all ages and diagnoses can finally exhale. Through guided reflection and peer connection, participants will name the weight they carry, discover shared resilience, and leave grounded in the truth that others truly get it. No advice. No fixing. Just community — and the reminder that you were never meant to do this alone.
Learning Outcomes:
Identify at least two emotional or systemic challenges commonly shared among parents of children with disabilities, reducing the sense of isolation that often accompanies this journey.
Recognize at least one personal source of resilience, strength, or support they have drawn on as a caregiver and advocate for their child.
Engage in structured peer-to-peer dialogue by actively listening and contributing within a safe, facilitated roundtable environment.
Articulate one piece of wisdom, encouragement, or insight they would offer to a parent earlier in the journey — honoring the expertise that comes from lived experience.
Reflect on how community and shared stories can serve as tools for emotional grounding and continued advocacy beyond the session.
